Red7Marine’s yard at Ipswich. The firm is to relocated its head office of nearby Fox’s Marina.

The UK’s Marine Partner of Choice, Red7Marine, will be relocating to a new office at Fox’s Marina in Ipswich.

The marine construction and marine access solutions provider has been based at its site in Wrabness since 1999. However, due to growth in many areas of the business the company will be moving to a larger unit in Ipswich to accommodate its development.

The move is a result of a growing workforce and turnover. Throughout 2017, Red7Marine welcomed many new employees through its controlled growth strategy and the team now stands at nearly 70. Turnover also climbed from £7m in 2016 to £16m in 2017 and it is also predicted to grow further in 2018.

The new office based at The Strand is a short distance away from Red7Marine’s yard at Ipswich that is leased from the Port of Ipswich where the operational team is based.
Red7Marine has an extensive track record and has been involved with many major projects including construction works at the Olympic Park at Stratford, the Emirates Cable Car in Greenwich and the Coca Cola London Eye.

Another notable project for Red7Marine has been the Thames Tideway Tunnel, which the team have been involved with since the beginning of the on-site works. Red7Marine’s barges were deployed for initial site investigation works in 2011 and throughout 2017, seven of its fleet of jack up barges were working on the project at one point, together with its fleet of flat top barges.

In 2018 Red7Marine, will also be expanding its offering within the renewables operations and maintenance sector even further. This expansion coincides with the launch of the team’s purpose built monohull barge, the Eurojack 3923 which was operational immediately in Somerset. Red7Marine will also be launching a new barge in Spring 2019 which will aid the company’s growth in the renewables market even further.

Nick Offord, Chief Executive Officer at Red7Marine comments: “Red7Marine has spent the past two decades building its reputation as the UK’s Marine Partner of Choice. We hope 2018 will also see the company take off within the renewables industry as we celebrate our 20th anniversary of trading. Our move to Fox’s Marina will also be a milestone that we feel extremely proud of, highlighting the growth of the business and our workforce. We expect 2018 to be a great year.”
