Since November 2018, Red7Marine’s Seariser 3 has been working in support of BAM Nuttall on the River Hull. The Haven Seariser 3 was chartered to assist the Environment Agency with a project that involves repairing and reinforcing the river wall and carrying out piling works.
The Haven Seariser 3 modular jack up barge was the chosen equipment for this project to suit the narrow, winding characteristics of the river.
Working alongside BAM Nuttall, Red7Marine has a highly skilled team on site bringing with them vast experience in reinforcement and pilling projects. The team are backed up by a robust marine operations support network at Red7Marine’s head office in Ipswich.
Red7Marine has been working closely and collaboratively with the client due to the difficult nature of the project. With narrow stretches of river, 90 degree bends and low bridges, all barge moves needed to be planned precisely.
Additionally, river traffic and tidal restrictions had the potential to increase time frames for jacking up and down when moving into positions. Projects such as this highlight engineering solutions, especially on demanding bespoke marine access solution projects. This emphasises that Red7Marine is the marine partner of choice.
Mark Smith, Head of Marine Access at Red7Marine comments: “Red7Marine has the specialist equipment and a highly experienced team to navigate the challenging environments on the River Hull. We are excited to be part of the project and to work alongside BAM Nuttall and the Environment Agency.”
