Red7Marine began working with client Kilnbridge in January 2025, delivering marine works for the Bridgewater Triangle development near the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford.
Our involvement began with the installation of a temporary footbridge for utilities, ahead of the demolition of the existing E48 bridge.
The project then progressed to its final phase, the installation of a new permanent 320t steel bridge.
Throughout the works, we utilised different configurations of our Haven SeaStabler jack-up barge to suit each stage of the programme.
The final phase of the project for the bridge installation included:
- Operating the Haven SeaStabler afloat to transport the bridge into position, with assisting tugboats manoeuvring the barge.
- Pinning the barge in place on its legs once in position.
- Using the hydraulic jacking system to carefully raise the bridge, clear the abutments, and lower it into its final position.
It’s been a pleasure working alongside Kilnbridge on this complex scope – navigating a live riverway in one of London’s busiest areas.
Here, our Lead Engineer Bayan Mohammad talks through Red7Marine’s role in the project.
