Red7Marine is delighted to announce it has been awarded its latest contract at the Coca Cola London Eye. Commencing the first week of September, the project will involve carrying out the surface preparation and painting of the marine steel foundations on the 135 metres tall, cantilevered observation wheel.
The project is programmed to be completed in just four weeks on site. Red7Marine has an extensive track record working on high profile projects around the UK in challenging environments, including the highly confined working area and tidal waters around the structure.
As the Marine Partner of Choice, Red7Marine has selected the marine equipment combined with an experienced in-house site team to carry out the works. Further maintenance works were also recently successfully carried out by Red7Marine on the two access brows linking the structure to the London Eye Pier. Work sequences have to be carefully planned and developed in conjunction with the client to avoid any disruption to daily operations at the Eye.
Nick Offord CEO of Red7Marine comments “We are very excited to be working on the iconic landmark, having secured yet another contract after one of our best years yet. We very much look forward to seeing the works commence at the start of September”
