Nuclear Services

Specialists in marine engineering across the development, construction, and decommissioning of facilities and infrastructure for the nuclear sector.

An extensive track record in the nuclear sector – working on projects such as Bradwell B, Oldbury, Hinkley Point C and Sizewell A.

Offering tailored marine engineering services throughout the lifecycle of a facility, from inception to decommissioning. With decades of experience behind us we bring unparalleled expertise in safety, regulatory compliance, and practical problem-solving to these often-high-profile projects. Supported by our extensive in-house fleet of jack-up barges and marine plant (also available for hire across the UK and globally) we deliver safe, reliable solutions tailored to the demands of even the most complex environments.

Power Station
Construction

We can be an integral partner from the earliest stages of nuclear power station development –  collaborating closely with designers and engineers to conduct feasibility studies, value engineering, and environmental assessments that optimise each phase of a project.

Our deep industry expertise and commitment to sustainability, supports effective concept development and planning, ensuring smooth integration into procurement-led build packages.

01 Feasibility and Design Consultation

Engaged early in the project, Red7Marine conducts in-depth feasibility studies that assess both the technical and environmental aspects of the proposed build. We regularly work in an Early Contract Involvement (ECI) capacity and can assist with:

  • Project method statements / sequencing
  • Risk assessments
  • Programme and budget estimation
  • Permanent works design support – constructability assessments
  • Temporary works including sea-fastening, jack up barge site specific assessments, bollard pull, and marine heavy lift plans
  • Supplier engagement
  • Marine logistics

02 Jetty Construction

As marine piling specialists, we bring a wealth of experience to the design and installation of complex jetty structures, from dolphins and jetty heads to the main approach systems.

03 Fish Return Pass

To meet the Development Consent Order (DCO) requirements of a project and reduce maintenance costs we support the on-site construction of fish pass systems that protect marine life and prevent them from clogging cooling water intakes and damaging equipment, which might cause disruptions and costly downtime.

04 Land Preparation & Seawall Defences

Preparing the surrounding site is essential for safe and sustainable operations. Red7Marine carries out enabling works, in the form of – but not limited to – seawall defences, piling operations, and rock armour installations.

05 Outfalls & Pipelines

With expertise in outfall structures and pipeline installation, our team provides the marine support necessary for these assets.

Planned
Maintenance

Over time, essential infrastructure like jetties and sea defences can weaken or sustain damage due to age, unforeseen incidents, or extreme weather events. When these structures require immediate attention, Red7Marine can step in to provide targeted repairs and replacements, ensuring continued operational safety and resilience.

01 Structural Repairs

Our team specialises in restoring compromised assets, reinforcing stability and extending the life of critical marine infrastructure.

02 Rapid Response Solutions

With our fleet and experienced marine team, we respond swiftly to infrastructure incidents, delivering solutions that prioritise safety and minimise downtime.

Decommissioning
and Demolition

As nuclear facilities and infrastructure approach the end of their operational life, Red7Marine delivers essential decommissioning and demolition support. We have extensive experience in safely dismantling complex structures, managing environmental risks and restoring surrounding areas.

01 Active Effluent Discharge Lines

Our extensive experience and technical proficiency ensure that these intricate installations – essential for the safe shutdown of cooling water pumps at nuclear plants – are executed with the precision required to adhere to the highest safety and efficiency standards.

02 Substation Demolition

Our marine support services extend to offshore substation demolition, providing the safe dismantling of essential offshore structures.

03 Jetty Demolition

When jetties and support structures are no longer needed, our team safely removes piles and demolishes jetty sections as required, restoring stability to the site to prepare it for future use.
