Red7Marine’s Haven Seajack 3 has been working at Swanage Pier where it has was chartered to Teignmouth Maritime Services to assist with piling operations. TMS replaced 42 piles and restored various timber sections of the pier during the project.

The work was commenced as part of the Swanage Pier Trust’s restoration project to restore the 120-year old Victorian pier which is located on Dorset’s Jurassic Coast. Originally the repair works were going to be carried out over two years but the jack-up barge has minimized downtime and allowed the works to be completed in one visit.

There has been a pier at Swanage since 1859 and the current pier was opened in 1897, Swanage Pier Trust acquired the pier in 1994.

Nick Offord, CEO at Red7Marine comments: “Red7Marine has the specialist equipment and experience to support the construction and refurbishment of leisure based maritime structures such as Swanage Pier. Our team has been involved on a large number of pier projects such as Weston-super-Mare and Southend so we were excited to be a part of this restoration project.
