The Solution

The project consisted of the following aspects:

  • Refurbishment of 7No. offshore reef markers
  • Refurbishment of 2No. offshore reef markers (cardinal markers)
  • Removal and replacement of 2No. flashing beacons on terminal reef markers

Red7Marine supported the Mackley / Van Oord team by mobilising the Haven Seajack 3 jack-up barge, providing an overwater working platform for the refurbishment works to take place.

Lawrence Rogers, Works Manager at Mackley comments:
“Right from the start Red7Marine were with us all the way. Everything that was asked was done, and there were many changes along the way as you can imagine. All the team were very helpful, and efficient, contactable seven days a week, and all the planning
around the mobilisation enables us to get on site at exactly the right date. All off the Barge Master’s on-site know there stuff, and were willing to help out on board, and to push the job along. We had to work some very long days here due to weather restrictions, but never a moan. It has again been a pleasure working with your team, and will personally look forward to working with Red7Marine again on the next mission.”

Project Manager, Andy Bosman comments:
“It is always a pleasure working with such a highly motivated and professional team, from office to site team working alongside us we could not ask for any better working partnership between our companies. Once again many thanks and look forward to our next project.”
