The Red7Marine team commenced piling operations this week at Portland Port & Portland Harbour Authority Ltd, UK for the construction of a new deep-water berth.
Over the course of the following months, Red7Marine will drive 136 steel tubular piles with intermediate sheet piles to create a 400m of new combi-wall structure. The deep-water berth being constructed will extend up to 250m in length and have a new water depth of 12m CD.
On-site supporting the project is our 1,000t jack-up barge, the Haven SeaChallenger equipped with a bespoke piling gate designed by MintMech Specialist Engineers to help install the piles to accuracy and tolerance.
The new berth will be operational by April 2023.
